Post Graduate State Conference

The second Post graduate State conference of Kerala orthopaedic association is scheduled on 16th , 17th and 18th of August at Government Medical College Trivandrum. The three-day program shall be organised by the team comprising of Dr. Jiju Nuuman as Chairman, Dr. Prem Menon as Secretary and Dr. Shanavas E.K as Scientific Committee Chairman.The orthopaedic residents and eminent faculty members from across the state shall participate in the event. The event shall include clinical case discussions, paper presentation of delegates and KOAPG quiz competition

KOAPGCON 2024 will gather orthopaedic residents and distinguished faculty members from across the Nation, fostering a rich environment for academic exchange and professional development. The conference program includes a series of clinical case discussions, providing a platform for participants to engage in in-depth analysis and discussion of complex cases. Delegates will also present their research papers, showcasing the latest advancements and findings in the field of orthopaedics.

Winning team will be representing Kerala Orthopedic Association in IOACON 2024 quiz competition at Bangalore and will be sponsored by KOA

Important Dates and Important Points

Competitive sessions are exclusively for Kerala PGs / JRs
PGs from outside Kerala can register and present papers in KOAPGCON but could not participate in competitive session & quiz
KOA associate membership is mandatory for registration for KOAPGCON competitive sessions
Submission of abstract through the website is open now
Closing date for submission of abstract: 12th August 2024, 20:59 pm, IST
Intimation mail by 14th August 2024
Registration in KOAPGCON is mandatory for abstract submission.
Medals will be issued for Best paper, Best poster & Quiz separately
Abstracts of oral presentation & posters should be submitted online through KOAPGCON website

Abstract Review & Selection

All the submitted abstracts will be blindly reviewed and scored by the Scientific Committee and accepted for an oral or poster presentation.
The review committee will look into
1. Novelty of the research idea
2. Relevance/Rationale of the study
3. Objective(s) of the study
4. Appropriateness of methods used
5. Presentation of the results, in keeping with the objectives set
6. Conclusions justified based on interpretations of results.
All Abstracts will be checked for plagiarism.
Presenters for Oral/Poster presentation will be informed about the date and time of the session and presentation guidelines will be provided.
All communications will be with the corresponding author alone.
